A lovely set of weigh scales from the early twentieth century. The weight is in pounds rather than kilograms. The base is cast iron branded by the Avery foundry. The bowls are chrome and brass. 

Probably originally used in an epicerie (small grocery store). Includes the two sets of weights photographed - not the originals (one set are in kilograms, the other in pounds) but a nice match nonetheless. These would look superb on a kitchen counter in both modern and classic interiors.
